2017 was a very special year for me. I am incredibly thankful to all my clients who believe in me and my photography. I truly enjoyed every session and met so many great people. I hope to see many of my clients this year too and make new friends as well.
Here is a selection from our sessions in 2017, which makes my heart sing.

I had so many great sessions in Geneva's Botanical Garden and I know it so well that I consider it being my outdoor studio. I had the most amazing time photographing Ebban and her family there recently. It was a real big family reunion with grand-parents and aunts. It was a great opportunity for some portraits of the girls surrounded by most important people in their life and some pictures that captured their wonderful personalities. The session was so fun, natural and relaxed that we created plenty of great images and only needed 45 minutes.
We had the most amazing time; it was one of those photo shoots that I will remember for a long time, so full of laughter and love.
The great thing about family photo shoots is their unpredictability, never quite knowing what will happen next. My job as a photographer is in reacting to these situations and using my skill to create images that record the moment in a beautiful fashion. Creating an image in a split second is so much fun and it captures the real emotion, which you can feel years after just by looking at the photograph.

I really enjoyed having a session with Karina, Arthur and their three kids (and a dog!). I do not have families with teenagers in front of my camera very often but I absolutely love it! And I also love photographing big families, they have a great dynamic and such a wide range of different personalities – truly a treat for a portrait photographer. There are many challenges of course, but when I manage to capture everyone's spirit it feels like a true victory. And I am sure that the families treasure those authentic, funny and somewhat imperfect pictures most.
We found a nice quite spot in a Parc de la Perle du Lac in Geneva, because of the dog we were not allowed in Botanical Garden, where my 45 minutes family sessions usually take place. This was a great location for a family with big kids as they do not need much space to run, but they do need some time and quite environment to relax and start having fun. I always make sure to take some group photographs with everyone facing the camera as these shots are important to have too, but the photographs I love the most, and which my clients come back to me for again and again are the images that show the love and connection between family members.
If you would like to arrange your own photo session for a big or small family, I would be happy to hear from you.
