Family Photography in Parc de La Perle du Lac Geneva

I really enjoyed having a session with Karina, Arthur and their three kids (and a dog!). I do not have families with teenagers in front of my camera very often but I absolutely love it! And I also love photographing big families, they have a great dynamic and such a wide range of different personalities – truly a treat for a portrait photographer. There are many challenges of course, but when I manage to capture everyone's spirit it feels like a true victory. And I am sure that the families treasure those authentic, funny and somewhat imperfect pictures most.

We found a nice quite spot in a Parc de la Perle du Lac in Geneva, because of the dog we were not allowed in Botanical Garden, where my 45 minutes family sessions usually take place. This was a great location for a family with big kids as they do not need much space to run, but they do need some time and quite environment to relax and start having fun. I always make sure to take some group photographs with everyone facing the camera as these shots are important to have too, but the photographs I love the most, and which my clients come back to me for again and again are the images that show the love and connection between family members.
