As a brand photography specialist I create photographs for my clients they can use for  marketing, on their website, on social media platforms and printed products.

We will talk about social media and printed promotional materials some other day.

Today our theme is social media overwhelm!

On the one hand we are the luckiest generation of entrepreneurs, who have an instant access to their ideal clients all over the world.

On the other hand we are facing a burn out so quickly as never before.

Social media burn out is a reality for many of us and sometimes we do not realize it.

We can be wasting too much time not knowing what to post, making generic not effective posts, comparing us to our competition, feeling discouraged, not getting enough clients and not earning enough money - because out marketing does not work.

I believe that in order to manage your business as one person you should take strategic actions ONLY.

There are many different strategies how you can build and grow your business and I will be sharing mine over a series of posts.

Today I would like to share some of my tips with you how to make your social media a powerful marketing tool without being overwhelmed.

Here is the sum up!

(1) TREAT YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA AS A MINI VERSION OF YOUR WEBSITE

So your social media is

- branded
- show people immediately, who you are, who you help and how you help them
- target your ideal client
- convert visitor into leads

Just like your website does!

And if you website does not do it - you should improve it as soon as you can!

(we will be talking about it too!)

(2) USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO REALLY CONNECT WITH PEOPLE

Social media is there for us to get social and you should really do it.

I spend more time replying to comments and messages and engaging with people I would LOVE to photograph and network, than thinking about what to post or
posting snippets my daily life.

So go and look for people you would love to work with and when you found them - do invest your time to get to know them and connect with them!

(3) SOCIAL MEDIA IS YOUR FRONT DOOR. IT HELPS YOU TO MAKE THE FIRST IMPRESSION

This is a great way to LIMIT the topics you discuss on your social media (and will save your life!).

You should be talking to people on your social meadia as if your audience does not know you so well! So you should introduce youeself from time to time and explain in a very clear way, what is it, that you do and how you help people
.

You can develop a deeper relationship with your mailing list, but for social media is your FIRST DATE.

You get your chance to make the first impression and people decide if they would like to go on with this relationship or not! (by the way you get to decide as well!)

I belive that social media should attract your potential clients and rappel other people.

And this is a very good thing, which will save you lots of time and stress in the future!

(4) SCHEDULE YOUR POSTS AHEAD TO STRUCTURE YOUR CONVERSATION AND STAY SANE

At the beginning writing your posts and scheduling them ahead might seem like a big and scary task, but it is the best decision I have ever made in my marketing!

It let you post strategically, it let you really connect with people, because you are being consistent and you develop the conversations and discussions you have started and at the end it gives you SO MUCH MORE TIME to do other things.

I have a strategy, how to do it as painless as possible and I do it together with my students during my marketing workshop "Be Visible. Make it Work." The next one will start in July and I will announce it very soon! So do not miss it guys!

Thank you for reading! I hope this will help!
