Some people think that the more photos you get after the session the better deal it is.

If we think about photography as commodity and considering photos of your family being apples or oranges, than yes – the more you get the better it is!

But if we think of your family photos as visual representation of your family love and connection and a unique piece of art, made just for you - less is more – always!

Choosing photos for your final gallery is a creative task, your photographer will spend lots of time with. It is just as important as taking and editing the images.

Different photographers will create absolutely different galleries form the same set of photos, based on their vision, style, experience and the way they felt and understood your family.

Choosing photographs is really exciting! And the good selection will make this incredible impression on you, that every photograper and every photogrphy client are after!

Too many photos or too many similar photos will take away the power of really great photos and they might get lost among others and stay unseen.

To prevent this you should ALWAYS choose your most favourite images!

(1) VISUAL OVERLOAD

Do you remember looking through vacation photos of Aunt XYZ?
Throuh all 200 slight variations of the same palm tree?

I am sure you have been there!

And probably you are struggling with your own photos as well.

Is it hard to make a family year book? To choose photos after a birthday party? To decide what to put on the wall?

IT IS!

I am sure nowadays no one has a feeling we have not enough photos in our life. We are living in the visual and digital overload. And I see a mission of modern visual artists and my own goal to reduce the noise and to only show powerful, emotional, meaningful images.

(2) YOUR FINAL GALLERY vs ALL UNEDITED PHOTOS

Putting together your gallery, which will be stunning, harmonious, diverse and just right for you – is the part of my job. This is one of the results that I deliver.

And 1765 photos on my SD card after the session this is the raw material, that will allow me to create this stunning gallery for you.

They are not the result of our session - they are just the begin.

I take them for me – to be able to create a beautiful gallery for you.

(3) YOUR CHOICE

I work for you, but I am not you!

I know that you choose me because you like the way I see.

But we are different and I never forget about it while putting together your gallery.

I take and choose images, which represent me as an artist and you as a family.

I make several collections of images, which I think, would work great together in an album and on the wall and than I choose a little bit more to give your the options.

So the final gallery I show you gives you an opportunity to choose further and I will always ask you to choose!

I want you to decide what your the most favourite images are and to take the action, so these photos will not end up being forgotten on the hard drive.

Almost all my clients tell me they LOVE all the photos. And it makes me really happy.

But I know how important it is to really think about your photos immediately after the session and choose your ABSOLUTELY favourite.

This way making an album or putting them on the wall will become so much easier!

Few years ago I started asking my clients to select their MOST favourite image and made a free stunning print for them!

This way I know, that at least your
most favourite photograph
will be displayed in your house
and will be seen every day!

So even you are purchasing the whole gallery from your photographer or if it is included in the package you have chosen – you should always choose your the MOST favourite straight after the session.

If you just download them or get a USB stick you might forget to do it and they will stay unseen.

By not choosing and not printing your photographs you are completely missing out, what a family photo session is about!
