Taking Pictures of Your Children and Family: a QuickStart Guide
Hello!
I have been a photographer for about ten years, a parent for six, professional family photographer for three and a photography teacher for two.
Though I was really involved into photography long before my children were born, taking pictures while taking care of my first child turned out to be a real challenge and seemed to be almost impossible at the beginning.
It took time to figure out how to document my family life in a way I really want. And how to make it not an annoying and sometimes frustrating experience (for all the participants!) but a truly harmonious and emotional one.
I succeed and it gave me the confidence to start photographing other families. It turned out that some things which work for my family and my children absolutely did not work with others. They turned out to be as individual as every child and every family is. But there were some things which worked every single time with any family in any situation. They seemed to be really universal.
Is it going to be useful FOR YOU?
Let us see! Here is a small check list!
If one or more of these statements are true for you and bothering you – YES IT WILL BE REALLY USEFUL!
At the moment I am working on a bigger photo workshop for parents and I started by formulating some basic and very simple principles that can improve the way your capture your family life straight away.
And you really do not need anything special (well – you need at least one camera and one kid!).
You can do it even if you:
In case if you already know the basics of photography or have a better camera and more time to experiment – you of course are welcome to join too! And you will be absolutely able to reach even better results.
How does it work?
The guideline itself is a series of tasks and explanations. After you submitted your information you will get 5 e-mails (1 e-mail per day) with 5 tasks to fulfill and 5 explanations of how to make it in the best way.
In case if you need more supervision I will be making a small group to work together through the guideline. After fulfilling the task you will be able to send me your pictures and get feedback on them. You also will be able to ask question and get the answers. Your photographs will not be published anywhere and I will be the only person who will see them. They will be deleted after you finished all the tasks.

Let us see! Here is a small check list!
- Your child always turns away from the camera or makes a silly face.
- Every time you see a cute motive worth capturing everyone is gone by the time you took out your phone/camera.
- You hardly have any pictures of you and your kids together.
- You have a feeling some years ended without any nice memories captured.
- Your child started school and you still did not manage to make that baby photo book.
- You have a zillion of photographs on your phone/ computer and you have no time to even look at them (needless to say you have NO backup – so if something goes wrong – ALL of them would be lost)

You can do it even if you:
- have no knowledge about photography at all
- have a very simple camera (phone)
- have no time (especially in this case it is going to be very helpful!)
